Passed away peacefully at Millennium Trail Manor on Friday, January 1, 2021, at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne Ward (2002). Dear and loving mother of Peter Sawchuk and Jill (Queenston, Ont.), Bill Sawchuk and Crystal (Fonthill, Ont.) and stepmother to Karen Ward (Oakville, Ont.), Steven Ward and Paddy (Cincinnati, Ohio) Cherished grandmother of Alexander Sawchuk and Aiden Sawchuk (Fonthill, Ont.) Dear sister of John Farrish (Ripley, Ont.), Bob Farrish and Noma, Lucknow, Ont.), and Deanna Thibodeau (nee Farrish) (London, Ont.).

Predeceased by her parents Alexander (Bud) Farrish and Marjorie Farrish and her brother Alexander (Sandy).

Betty Anne dedicated her heart and soul to mental health services; she was a founder of the Oak Centre Club House - Alternative Community Support, in Welland. She was a lifelong registered nurse, and later in her life discovered therapeutic touch and used it to ease the lives of others. Betty was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place, and the family will gather at a later date when it is safer to honour her life.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Oak Centre, 24 Dorothy Street, Welland ON, or to Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region, 1-403 Ontario Street St. Catharines.
