Lawless, Carol Janet
Passed away peacefully after a willful battle with cancer with her loving daughter by her side at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the age of 60 years. Forever loved and missed by her daughter Jessie Pangborn, daughter-in-law Katie, and grandson Jacob. Predeceased by Gord Schade (2019) and their beloved son Evan Schade (2012).
Youngest child of Georgina and Russell and step-father Jim. Dear sister of Gaye, Dianne, John, Stephen and Robert.
Carol will be missed by her friends and teammates at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club where she was a long time active curling member.
Carol was happiest with her hands in soil, making her gardens beautiful. She had a special relationship with her grandson Jacob Evan who made Grandma laugh every day. She made extra time for the joys of family and gardening in her last months.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the team at St. Catharines General for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will gather at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa, where her remains will be laid to rest alongside Evan and Gord.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated as Carol was a lover of animals.
