Dear Branne & Brooke,
We are very sad to hear of your mom’s passing. We all have such fond memories of her and us growing up together. All the birthday parties, Christmas celebrations, summer swims, games, camping, and over all time we spent together. My mother speaks so highly of how talented Hughanne was at scrap-booking and art. I felt fortunate that many times I visited my parents while they still had their house in Niagara your mom would pop by and catch up. She was so proud of you both and loved you so very much. She was a big part of your lives and although that makes the heart break even more, that also means she will never be forgotten. We are thinking of you both and your families during this difficult time. This poem I found is one of my favourites:

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Love you both, Dawn, Paddi, Auntie Anne, Uncle Gerry & family

I think of Hughanne sitting in a comfy chair at Branne and Marsha's place when our family got together. At those times I enjoyed finding a few minutes to touch base with her. I will miss those conversations, brief though they were. I felt a connection with Hughanne. We both became widows within weeks of each other. We both love the Lord and depended on our faith to sustain us. Hughanne was always approachable. Right from the beginning when our families merged, Hughanne had an instant smile, delightful laugh, and welcoming nature. Next time we are able to get together, her absence will be sorely felt.

Hughanne was such a precious soul. I loved all our family events with her such as Christmas. I really enjoyed how particular she was about preparing food properly and the food was always amazing. She was such a delight to talk to and such a great listener and conversationalist. I will truly miss her this holiday season.
