Reid, D. Lloyd,
Of Welland Ontario, passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital with family by his side on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the age of 84. A family service has been held in Welland with internment at the Patterson United Church Cemetery in Hoyt, New Brunswick at a later date.
Predeceased by his first wife Ruth (nee Kirkpatrick) and second wife Elva Reid (nee Slauenwhite). Dear father of Kevin Reid (Juanita) and Russell Reid (Christina). Cherished grandfather of Nicole Zarazua (Isaias), Micheal Reid (Emily Branje) and Chelsea Currie - Reid. Dear brother of Graham Reid (Ruth), Freeman Reid (Sharon), Mary Anne Kaizer (Clifford) and brother-in-law to Betty Reid. Predeceased by his sister Florence Field and brother Robert Reid.
Born and raised in Port Hilford, Nova Scotia, Lloyd was an active and longtime member of Faith Tabernacle, now Faith City Church in Halifax, and Evangel Temple in Dartmouth. He made his career in sales, and he loved travel, wood working, good food and story telling. He will be missed by many friends and family far and wide.Family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Woodlands of Sunset in Welland for their care and compassion while Dad was a resident there.
